I have been working with digital art since the late 1990s, and have had the computer as my main artistic tool since then. I originally educated as a civil engineer, that is perhaps why I find computers such a natural tool for art making.

In my art I am looking for glimpses of answers to the questions “What is it like to be human? Isn’t it strange, to be a spiritual creature and a piece of nature?” In that way, the main subject for my artistic work is the balance between nature, the body and the soul. I mainly work with digital collage, as I find the process of cutting out, combining and moving about pictures and symbols very stimulating in my exploration of the mystery of human existence.

I live and work just beside a large forest in Trondelag, Norway, and find this a peaceful and inspiring location for making my art.
